It is located 47 km away from the city of Volos and as it extends on the whole slope, it is divided into four large districts of Agia Paraskevi or Perachora, Agia Kyriaki, Agios Georgios, and Sotira. This gives the visitor the impression that it is a complex of four different villages.

What is Zagora, Pelion?

Zagora is the largest village of Pelion that was developed during the Byzantine period. While already from the 17th and 18th century it was an important trade, handicrafts, and cultural center. The village hosted the "Hellenic Museum", as well as a school of higher education, where it is said that Rigas Feraios also studied.

During the winter, the Ski Center of Pelion that is located 14 km from Zagora attracts numerous visitors. While in summer the visitor has access to the nearby beaches of Horefto, Agioi Saranda, Ovrio, and Elitsa.

Finally Zagora is famous for the local products, such as pastries, herbs, and its famous juicy apples.
