It is housed in one of the most historic neoclassical building that was erected in 1899, which is located in the city center.
The exhibits of the museum cover a very wide range on the tradition of the people and their everyday life, including traditional costumes, music, and devotional themes, food, livestock, agriculture, pottery, and textiles.
There are tours especially arranged for school children but also for adults. While the exhibits refer chronologically to a period that starts in the 17th century and ends in the 20th century.
