Thessaloniki - Seafront walk Seafront walk
One of the most important things that you should do in Thessaloniki is to walk at the seafront. You can start from the port of the city and walk towards the White Tower, or even further, to the statue of Alexander the Great and the park of Nea Paralia with lakes, flowers and benches that leads you to the Opera House. Near the end, and really close to the Opera, you will also find tennis courts. There are ships docked near the White Tower that play rock and reggae music that every hour make a full round in Thermaikos Gulf and you can see Thessaloniki from a totally different angle. If you are lucky and the horizon is clear you can see Mount Olympus on the opposite side of the Gulf, while drinking your coffee or your beer in one of the numerous cafeterias.
