A music festival that relies on the excellent work of local volunteers and its fame extends much more than Samos territory.
When was the Ireon Samos Music Festival founded?
The festival was founded in the summer of 2004 when a group of friends in collaboration with the Cultural Association of Heraion and the local association of professionals created the "Ireon Rock Festival" aiming at hosting their favorite music as well as promoting bands of the island.
The name change of Ireon Festival
In 2008 the responsibility of the Ireon Rock Festival passes entirely to the Cultural Association of Heraion and is renamed "Ireon Music Festival" thus expanding the types of music and the bands it hosts on stage.
Over the years, some of the biggest names of artists and bands of the domestic and international scene have passed through the "Ireon Music Festival".
The festival has now gained many friends but also a special identity at the national level. The volunteerism and the love of the organizers for the place are definitely some secrets of success but also guarantees for the future.
