Oiti Natural History Museum

Museum between Lamia and Karpenisi

Oiti is rich in wildlife and the Oiti Natural History Museum does a great job presenting it with taxidermy. It's hosted in Agathonos Monastery.

The Museum of Natural History is situated inside the yard of the monastery of Agathonas. It dates from 1985 and offers interesting information about the park and the natural surroundings.

The exhibits are related to facts like the climate, the soil as well as the flora, and fauna of National Forest of Oiti. Just outside the building of the museum, there is a botanical garden with the most important plants of Oiti, something that helps the visitor to compose a picture of the local vegetation.
