Kioupri Park is the largest park in Edessa. In the park, there are many platanus trees, many of which are more than a century old. The dense vegetation and the trees offer shadow and coolness especially during the warm months of the summer. In the center of the park, there is a fountain.
The name of the park derives from a Turkish word that means bridge. It refers to the stone arched bridge of the Ottoman era that dominates the park landscape. Many researchers argue that the same bridge was existing since the Roman era and through this was passing the famous Egnatia street.
