It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if we would say that Athens is the best place for shopping therapy! There is a great variety of shops in the city centre offering great prices for products with great quality. Most of them are in Ermou street where you will find shops of well known brands as well as famous Greek designers. If you visit Athens for the first time you can buy small memorabilia and souvenirs in in Plaka and Monastiraki. Some of the them are located in Kolonaki neighbourhood, in the city centre. There are also many malls, one of the most well known is The Mall in Marousi, one of the largest malls in Athens. It is worth mentioning that the period of sales in Greece is from mid January until the end of February and from mid July until the end of August. The shops are open every day 09:00 - 15:00 & 17:00 - 20:30 except Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. On those days they are open only morning hours and they are closed in the afternoon.
