Museum of Greek Children’s Art

Athens Museum

The title might be misleading because it's not only for Greek children. Workshops, plays, and games are all part of the alternative educational process.

The Museum of Greek Children’s Art was founded in 1994 and it is a charitable, non-profit, cultural organization. The aim of the museum is to preserve and show children’s art, as well as to encourage creativity and bring the children closer to all forms of art and inspire young artists. One other goal is to expand their imagination, skills, and abilities and gain confidence.

The museum is an ideal destination for families with children. The parents are encouraged to let their offsprings create and learn more about them, their needs, and beliefs through their paintings and creations.

The exhibition hosts drawings from other children, aged from very little up to 14 years old. It is located in the city center, in Plaka and it is a contemporary alternative museum that promotes creativity and imagination.
