Lamia has not one or two but four squares in its center! Those are are Park square, plateia Laou, plateia Eleftherias and plateia Diakou.
The squares are central meeting places and gather a great part of the city's social life. They are all surrounded by cafeterias, as well as with some restaurants which are famous for their good food and the well-known roasted meat dishes.
Plateia Eleftherias is the loudest among all four. It is full of cafeterias and bars and it is one of the most places that attracts city inhabitants that belong to the younger generations.
