The Old Metropolis of Veria is a gorgeous architectural example of a three-aisled basilicas. Built in 1070AD, it's steeped in history. Excellent hagiography.

Royal Burial Cluster of Philip II

Vergina

The tomb of King Philip II, Alexander's father, is open to public. There is also an exhibition of items recovered from the tomb. Totally worth a trip.

Apostle Paul's Tribune (Altar)

A place of worship, this is the spot where Veria's citizens heard about Christianity first from Apostle Paul.

Jewish Quarter of Barbouta

The Jewish district with its distinctive architecture, decorated houses, street trees has an otherworldly aura. It was also stop in Apostle Paul's journey.

Veria Town Hall

Founded as a Greek school during the Ottoman years, the beautiful neoclassical building is today Veria's City Hall. Located in a nice square.
