Agiou Louka Hill & Church

Lamia Attraction

Area close to Lamia center in the woods. It was named after a 1910 chapel located here. Ideal place for chilling, jogging, and walking.

The hill of Agios Loukas is a green area very close to the center of Lamia. It is situated right above the Diakos square and has easy access from different central areas of the city.

There, the visitor has the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant walk, a meal, or a drink. While at the same it offers great views to Oiti mountain, Spercheios valley, and Maliakos gulf.

The hill area hosts also the small Church of St. Luke (Agiou Louka). St. Luke is the patron Saint of the city of Lamia, while the church was built in 1910. The chapel is related to numerous special events of the history of the city, and consequently, it has been declared a historical monument by the Greek Ministry of Culture.
