Karpenisi - St Demetrius hill St Demetrius hill
You can find it in the south part of the city, in the end of the ring road of the city, at the Lamia exit. It is believed that it was part of Trimfistos that was cut and roll here many centuries ago. It was called "Palaiokastro" (old castle) because there are traces of ancient defensive walls. It is one of the few spots -if not the only one- from where you can see all Karpenisi. There is a kiosk where you can sit and enjoy the view.
