The Roman Market is in Plaka, uphill from the ancient Market, and it was an open space with shops that was surrounded by pillars and it was the main market during the Roman occupation of Athens. Near the Roman Market you can find the Tower of Winds which was built in the 1st century BC by the Syrian astronomer Andronicus and it was used as a meteorological station and a clock.
How to get there: Roman Market can be reached with the metro, "Monastiraki" station.
