Nafplio - Archaeological Museum of Nafplio Archaeological Museum of Nafplio
The exhibitions of the archaeological museum of Nafplion come from excavations made by the Archaeological Agency, the Archaeological Company and Archaeological schools from abroad, as well as are donations from private collections. The building of the museum is a monument of Nafplion itself, in the city centre. The exhibits of the museum cover a large period of time. They start from the Prehistoric era, to Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic and the Copper era and come from excavations in the cave of Phrahthi and Kefalari, Dendra, Midea, Naflia, Tirintha, Asini, Prosimna-Bermpati and Kazarma. In the new exhibition there are more than 1500 new exhibits found in other excavations.
