Lamia - Tavernas in Lamia Tavernas in Lamia
Lamia, apart from the historical places, is famous for the restaurants and tavernas with their traditional rotisserie roasts. Most of the tavernas are around Laou square, on Karaiskaki street, which is most commonly known as "street of cholesterol" and where you can smell the roast everywhere! In most of them you can find lamp roasts, goat roasts, kokoretsi, splinantero and many more for you to taste. Even if you don’t like this type of cuisine, a stroll down the streets is recommended for folklore reasons.
