Kavala - Saint Paul church Saint Paul church
The church of St Paul is in the city centre, in one of the largest and most commercial streets of the city, Omonoia street. It is dedicated to Apostle Paul who went to Kavala and preached Christianity. It started being built in 1900 and apart from its outside beauty as a building, inside it is fully painted with murals of saints with Renaissance technique. It is said that the murals were painted by the two most famous artists of all Macedonia of the period. This is the main reason why the church is not only a place of praying, but also a tourist attraction of great beauty.
